This is the first movie I watched in 2020 and it was by chance (like a big chunk of movies I watch tbh). I was in the middle of a free trial for a streaming platform, browsing its catalogue, when I found about this movie. And it really caught my attention. First that red poster is so eye-catching, and when you actually look closer? the concept is so cool? The more I look at it the more I like it.

Then the title, which was in Spanish because it was a Spanish platform. Así en la Tierra como en el Infierno, literally "so on earth, as it is in hell". It sounded very familiar to me because it's a modified line from the Our Father prayer. And I thought it was so cool. I was SO intrigued.

I remember being a bit confused when I looked up the movie and saw the original title in Enlish lol. To write this I decided to look up how it's the prayer in this language and I read that traditionally that line is said as "on earth, as it is in heaven", but in some places they actually use the other wording. And good for them because "as above, so below" slaps.

Back to the actual movie. I was a bit hesitant to watch it when I discovered it was a found footage movie, because it's not a kind of thing I find appealing (or used to I guess). But I was too intrigued so I gave it a chance.

And it was a very stressful experience lmao. Don't get me wrong, I'm glad I watched it. It was entertaining and I enjoyed the whole concept (lore? or??? idk, that whole thing going on there). But man, those fucking catacombs. I don't think I'm claustrophobic but caves, and the idea of being stuck in them, really freaks me out. On second thought, I might be a bit claustrophobic actually.

Also I got motion sickness watching this movie??? I've had that issue with some video games in the past, but this is the first time it happened with a movie. I was very shook when I realized. I feel that because of these two things, watching this was an experience way more intense than it was supposed to be lol.
